CME Online (Jul 2022)
Dear Colleagues,
I am sending you the e-blast notification of the Category A CME activities of the month of July.
If the 2020 – 2022 cycle is not your first CME cycle, you are kindly reminded that you should fulfil the CME requirement before 31 December 2022. If you have less than 60 CME points by the end of this year, the non-compliance to CME/CPD requirement will not be remediable.
If the 2020 – 2022 cycle is your first CME cycle, you are required to obtain CME points pro-rata to a three-year cycle according to your CME start date. Please note the minimum requirement of individual CME category is waived if the first cycle is shorter than 3 years, so you can obtain CME points from ANY category.
When you utilize ZOOM or other teleconference software, please remember to sign in with your full name and your College Fellowship Number so that the organizer can capture your attendance. For CME activities that last more than one hour, you are required to capture your attendance twice to be granted the full amount of CME points, or else only one CME point will be registered. You may also be required to fulfil the requirements (e.g. completing a Google Form, a survey, or answering a number of post-meeting questions) of the organizers before the CME points can be registered to your CME profile.

MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (previously Part II) Examination, 21 Sep 2022 (Wednesday)
Please be informed that the next MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (AKP) Exam will be held in HK on 21st Sep 2022. Candidates wishing to sit the above exam in HK please apply both online using the RCPCH website (https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/user) AND submit paper applications to our College.
Please study carefully the details of application as outlined in the attached circular.

4 July 2022 (Mon) – 18 July 2022 (Mon)
Examination Fee
HK$8,800
Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians.

Options for sitting this exam
Remarks:
1. All theory exams have been moved to computer-based testing since January 2015. Please refer to the RCPCH website for more CBT information: https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/resources/theory-exams-mrcpch-dch-how-apply
2. Sample examination questions are available on the RCPCH website for candidates viewing. Candidates sitting for CBT exams are strongly advised to study these sample questions at this link (https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/resources/theory-exam-sample-papers).
3. Candidates can sit the MRCPCH theory exams in any order, and are allowed to take the Applied Knowledge in Practice Exam as their first MRCPCH theory exam.
4. Those candidates who have never taken an exam with the RCPCH and/or do not have an RCPCH number are advised to first register for an exam account with the RCPCH any time before the application period (preferably 10 working days before the application period opens). You do not need to wait until a specific examination opens to apply for an RCPCH online account. You are not able to apply for any exams online until your registration for an exam account is accepted.
5. For details of online application procedures, please refer to the Guidance Notes for HK candidates attached.

Attached please find a circular detailing the application procedures for the above exam. Application period starts from 23 June 2022 (Thursday) to 6 July 2022 (Wednesday). Relevant application forms and documents can be downloaded from the College website.
* Please note that a candidate declaration form will need to be completed and submitted with Application Form D.
Examination Fee HK$16,600
Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians.
Please note that candidates have a period of 7 years to complete the Clinical Examination from the date he/she passed all of the theory examinations. There is no limit to the number of attempts. If candidates are not able to pass the Clinical Examination within the seven years, he/she has to re-sit the Applied Knowledge in Practice Examination in order to take the Clinical Examination again.
