The PRM Subspecialty is now calling for Application for Exit Assessment which will be held on 9th July 2020 (Thursday). Dear Members and Fellows of the Hong Kong College of Paediatricians,

The Developmental-Behavioural Paediatrics (DBP) is now recognised as a Paediatric Subspecialty in the Hong Kong College of Paediatricians, it has been registered in the Specialist Register in The Medical Council of Hong Kong since 3 July 2013. We are now calling for application enrollment of DBP trainees for Year 2020, please kindly find enclosed files of Training Programme, Application Information and Training Application Form for your attention. Information is also available at the College website: www.paediatrician.org.hk

Please be reminded that the training programme will commence from 2nd July 2020. The deadline for enrollment of the DBP Training Programme will be on 6 April 2020, (Monday), 5:00 pm. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact the undersigned.

Dear Associates

Please be informed that the next MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (AKP) Examination will be held on 13 May 2020. Candidates wishing to sit the above exam in Hong Kong must apply both online using the RCPCH website ( https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/user ) AND submit paper applications to our College. Please study carefully the details of application as outlined in the attached circular.

Application period
26 February 2020 (Wed) – 9 March 2020 (Mon)

Examination Fee
HK$8,800

Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. Attached please find an Application Form C for your use.

Special Note on Coronavirus Outbreak:
In view of the coronavirus outbreak in HK, there is a possibility that the examination will not be held on 13 May 2020 as scheduled. We will monitor the situation in the coming months. Your application will be confirmed online once payment is received by the HK College of Paediatricians; but your payment will not be cashed until mid-April 2020. Please check for the latest exam updates on the HK College website nearer the time.

Remarks:
1. Sample examination questions are available on the RCPCH website for candidates viewing. Candidates sitting for CBT exams are strongly advised to study these sample questions at this link

2. Candidates can sit the MRCPCH theory exams in any order, and can take the Applied Knowledge in Practice Exam as their first MRCPCH theory exam.

3. Those candidates who have never taken an exam with the RCPCH and/or do not have an RCPCH number are advised to first register for an exam account with the RCPCH well before the application period. You are not able to apply for any examinations online until your registration for an exam account is accepted.
