CME Online (May 2022) - 37th blast email

Dear Colleagues,

I am sending you the e-blast notification of the Category A CME activities of the month of May.

If the 2020 – 2022 cycle is not your first CME cycle, you are kindly reminded that you should fulfil the CME requirement before 31 December 2022. If you have less than 60 CME points by the end of this year, the non-compliance to CME/CPD requirement will not be remediable.

If the 2020 – 2022 cycle is your first CME cycle, you are required to obtain CME points pro-rata to a three-year cycle according to your CME start date. Please note the minimum requirement of individual CME category is waived if the first cycle is shorter than 3 years, so you can obtain CME points from ANY category.

When you utilize ZOOM or other teleconference software, please remember to sign in with your full name and your College Fellowship Number so that the organizer can capture your attendance. For CME activities that last more than one hour, you are required to capture your attendance twice to be granted the full amount of CME points, or else only one CME point will be registered. You may also be required to fulfil the requirements (e.g. completing a Google Form, a survey, or answering a number of post-meeting questions) of the organizers before the CME points can be registered to your CME profile.

Dear Associates,

Please study carefully the details of application as outlined in the attached circular. Please also find an Application Form B for your use.

Online Application period
6 April 2022 (Wed) – 18 April 2022 (Mon)

Options for sitting this exam
1. At a test centre in person, or
2. At your own home or workplace with online invigilation (online invigilation guide)

Examination Fee
FOP & TAS (both papers) HK$7,600
FOP only (single paper) HK$4,700
TAS only (single paper) HK$4,700

Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians.

You are strongly advised to submit your online application promptly.

Those candidates who have never taken an exam with the RCPCH and/or do not have an RCPCH number are advised to first register with the RCPCH well before the application period. You do not need to wait until a specific examination opens to apply for an RCPCH online account. A RCPCH number is needed in order to access the online application forms for exams.

There will normally be TWO FOP TAS exams held in HK each year, one in February, and another one in October. This June diet is organized exceptionally to cater the back log of the previous cancelled exams.

Special Note: For candidates who have applied for the cancelled FOP TAS examination originally held on 13 Oct 2021 (Wed) and 16 Feb 2022 (Wed) respectively, and who have NOT file a refund application, YOU DO NOT NEED TO RE-APPLY for this examination. Your seat will automatically be transferred to this diet. RCPCH will notify you on the details of the examination closer to the date.

Thank you for your attention.
