MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (previously Part II) Examination, 16 September 2020 (Wednesday)

Please be informed that the next MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (AKP) Examination will be held in HK on 16 September 2020. Candidates wishing to sit the above exam in Hong Kong must apply both online using the RCPCH website ( https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/user  ) AND submit paper applications to our College. Please study carefully the details of application as outlined in the attached circular.

Options for sitting this Exam
1. At a test centre in person, or
2. At your own home or workplace with online invigilation (see Online Invigilation Quick Guide)

Application period
20 July 2020 (Mon) – 27 July 2020 (Mon)

Examination Fee
HK$8,800

Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. Attached please find an Application Form C for your use.

Special Note on Coronavirus Outbreak:
In view of the ongoing pandemic in HK, there is a possibility that the examination will not be held on 16 September 2020 as scheduled. We will monitor the situation in the coming months. Your application will be confirmed online once payment is received by the HK College of Paediatricians; but your payment will not be cashed until mid-August 2020. Please check for the latest exam updates on the HK College website nearer the time.

Remarks:
1. Sample examination questions are available on the RCPCH website for candidates viewing. Candidates sitting for CBT exams are strongly advised to study these sample questions at this link https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/resources/theory-exam-sample-papers 

2. Candidates can sit the MRCPCH theory exams in any order, and can take the Applied Knowledge in Practice Exam as their first MRCPCH theory exam.

3. Those candidates who have never taken an exam with the RCPCH and/or do not have an RCPCH number are advised to first register for an exam account with the RCPCH well before the application period. You are not able to apply for any examinations online until your registration for an exam account is accepted.
