MRCPCH Examination

The MRCPCH Examination consists of three parts: MRCPCH Foundation of Practice, Theory & Science (formerly Part I) Examination, MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (formerly Part II written) Examination and MRCPCH Clinical Examination. Part I and Part II are written examinations. The MRCPCH Clinical Examination is in the format of assessment of 10 OSCE stations. College trainees have to successfully complete the Written and Clinical sections of this Examination to be eligible for the award of Membership of the Hong Kong College of Paediatricians and the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health (RCPCH).

Both the MRCPCH Part I and Part II Written Examinations are held two times in Hong Kong from 2016. The MRCPCH Clinical Examinations are held twice per year in Hong Kong. For the written examinations, we accept eligible overseas candidates' applications; however, for the clinical examinations, we only accept candidates who are registererd medical practitioners in Hong Kong.
