Dear Members and Fellows of the Hong Kong College of Paediatricians,   Developmental-Behavioural Paediatrics (DBP) is now recognized as a Paediatric Subspecialty in the Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. It has been registered in the Specialist Register of The Medical Council of Hong Kong since 3 July 2013. We are now calling for application enrollment of DBP trainees for Year 2024. Please kindly find enclosed files of Training Programme, Application Information and Training Application Form for your attention. MRCPCH Foundation of Practice, Theory & Science Examination (formerly Part I), 26 June 2024 (Wednesday)

Dear Associates, Please be informed that the next MRCPCH Foundation of Practice, Theory & Science (FOP TAS) Examination will be held on 26 June 2024  (Wednesday). Candidates wishing to sit this exam in HK must apply both online using the RCPCH website ( https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/user ) AND submit paper applications to our College. Please study carefully the details of application as outlined in the attached circular. Please also find an Application Form B for your use. Application period8 April 2024 (Mon) - 18 April 2024 (Thu) *for applications for online invigilation, closing date is 12 April 2024 (Friday) Options for sitting this exam1. Monthly CME activities in the New Google Calendar Format We have adopted the Google Calendar to tabulate the accredited CME activities for the coming month.  Please click https://rb.gy/ocr4l8. Cancellation of dual capture requirement of virtual CME activities longer than one hour Please kindly note the “dual capture” requirement of virtual CME events longer than one hour has been cancelled. From now on, fellows attending any CME activity need only to record their attendance once using the method designated by the event organizer, regardless of the event duration. This applies to both face-to-face meetings and virtual meetings. Guidelines and declaration of handling commercial influence on the CME activities We would like to draw the attention of the CME event organizers to the new requirement, recently adopted by the HKAM, of declaring the appropriate handling of commercial sponsorship when applying for CME accreditation. The three-point declaration has been added to the application form, both on the College Website and on the iCMECPD website. All CME event organizers are kindly reminded to avoid undue commercial influence on the educational material provided in their activities. 52nd Exit Assessment, 18 June 2024 (Tuesday)

Dear Members,  The next Exit Assessment of the College will be held on 18 June 2024 (Tuesday). Attached please find an announcement, application form, FORM A and FORM B for your information. Members wishing to sit this Exit Assessment can send your completed applications to the College from 25 March 2024 (Monday) onwards until 24 April 2024 (Wednesday).  Please be reminded to include FORM A (Record of Higher Training in Paediatrics) and FORM B (Checklist for Dissertations) in your submission. Both hard and soft copies of your dissertations should also be submitted. 1.For all trainees who started their basic paediatric training on or after 1 July 2009, a proof of completion of a formal Child Protection Course within their 6-year Paediatric Training Programme should be submitted along with the application. 2.For all trainees who started their higher paeditric training on or after 1st July 2020, a proof of completion of a formal Paediatric Palliative Care Course within their 6-year Paediatric Training Programme should be submitted along with the application. 3.Dissertations submitted for this Exit Assessment will be considered for the 2025 Best Dissertation Prize awarded by the College. Dear Associates MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (Part II) Examination, 22 May 2024 (Wednesday) Please be informed that the next MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (AKP) Exam will be held in HK on 22 May 2024.  Candidates wishing to sit the above exam in HK please apply both online using the RCPCH website (https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/user) AND submit paper applications to our College.   Please study carefully the details of application as outlined in the attached circular. Application period 4 March 2024 (Mon) - 14 March 2024 (Thu) *for applications for online invigilation, closing date is 8 March 2024 (Friday)   Examination Fee HK$8,800 Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. Attached please find an Application Form C for your use.    Options for sitting this exam At your own home or workplace with online invigilation (pls refer to online invigilation quick guide attached) Note: Please note that there will NOT be any test centre option for this diet of exam.    Remarks: 1. All theory exams have been moved to computer-based testing since January 2015.
