Dear Associates, Please be informed that the next MRCPCH Foundation of Practice, Theory & Science (FOP TAS) Examination will be held on 12 February 2020. Candidates wishing to sit this exam in HK must apply both online using the RCPCH website ( https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/user ) AND submit paper applications to our College. Please study carefully the details of application as outlined in the attached circular. Online Application period20 November 2019 (Wed) – 2 December 2019 (Mon) Examination FeeFOP & TAS (both papers) HK$7,600FOP only (single paper) HK$4,700TAS only (single paper) HK$4,700 Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. Please note that we accept applications from both local and overseas candidates on a first-come, first-served basis, and the HK exam centre has a fixed number of seats. Once the maximum capacity is reached, we can no longer accept candidates. You are therefore strongly advised to submit your online application ASAP. Those candidates who have never taken an exam with the RCPCH and/or do not have an RCPCH number are advised to first register with the RCPCH well before the application period. A RCPCH number is needed in order to access the online application forms for exams. There will be TWO FOP TAS exams held in HK each year, one in February, and another one in October. Subspecialty of Genetics & Genomics (Paediatrics) [GGP] - Invitation for Enrollment of Training Programme (commencing from 2nd January 2020)

Dear Members and Fellows of the Hong Kong College of Paediatricians, The Subspecialty of Genetics & Genomics (Paediatrics) [GGP] is now recognised as a Paediatric Subspecialty in the Hong Kong College of Paediatricians, it has been registered in the Specialist Register in The Medical Council of Hong Kong since 1 November 2017. We are now calling for application enrollment of GGP trainees for Year 2020, please kindly find enclosed files of Training Programme and Application Form for your attention. Information is also available at the College website: www.paediatrician.org.hk Please be reminded that the training programme will commence from 2nd January 2020. The deadline for enrollment of the GGP Training Programme will be on 15th October, 2019, Tuesday, 5:00 pm. 43rd Exit Assessment, 19 December 2019 (Thursday)

Dear Members, The next Exit Assessment of the College will be held on 19 December 2019 (Thursday). Attached please find an announcement, application form, FORM A and FORM B for your information. Members wishing to sit this Exit Assessment can send your completed applications to the College from now until 4 October 2019 (Friday). Please be reminded to include FORM A (Record of Higher Training in Paediatrics) and FORM B (Checklist for Dissertations) in your submission. Both hard and soft copies of your dissertations should also be submitted. 1. For all trainees who started their basic paediatric training on or after 1st July 2009, a proof of completion of a formal Child Protection Course within their 6-year Paediatric Training Programme should be submitted along with the application. 2. Dissertations submitted for this Exit Assessment will be considered for the 2020 Best Dissertation Prize awarded by the College. Case reports will not be considered for the Prize. Annual Scientific Meeting 2019

Dear Fellows, Members and Associates of the College, Joint Annual Scientific Meeting 2019ofThe Hong Kong Paediatric Society,Hong Kong College of Paediatricians,Hong Kong Paediatric Nurses Association, &Hong Kong College of Paediatric Nursing. 1st Announcement The Hong Kong Paediatric Society, Hong Kong College of Paediatricians, Hong Kong Paediatric Nurses Association and Hong Kong College of Paediatric Nursing will be hosting a Joint Annual Scientific Meeting on 28th September 2019 at the Hong Kong Children's Hospital. It will be a full-day event consisting of a keynote lecture and free paper presentation sessions. This Joint Annual Scientific Meeting serves as a unique platform and chance for various disciplines to share the insights in child health related issues and scientific updates. Your participation would be of utmost importance. Members, doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and other child healthcare workers are cordially invited to submit papers to make this meeting a success. Research papers including those for basic science, clinical studies, patient care, service improvement as well as community projects are all welcome. Candidates wishing to sit the above exam in Hong Kong must apply both online using the RCPCH website (https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/user) AND submit paper applications to our College.
