Dear Associates Attached please find a circular detailing the application procedures for the above exam. Application period is from 17 June 2019 to 12 July 2019. Relevant application forms and documents can be downloaded from the College website. * Please note that a candidate declaration form will need to be completed and submitted with Application Form D. Examination FeeHK$16,600 Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. Please note that candidates have a period of 7 years to complete the Clinical Examination from the date he/she passed all of the theory examinations. There is no limit to the number of attempts. If candidates are not able to pass the Clinical Examination within the seven years, he/she has to re-sit the Applied Knowledge in Practice Examination in order to take the Clinical Examination again. Announcement from Paediatric Respiratory Medicine (PRM)

 Dear Fellows and Members of the Hong Kong College of Paediatricians,   Re: Subspecialty of Paediatric Respiratory Medicine (PRM) - Invitation for Enrollment of Training Programme (Commencing from 2 July 2019)   The Paediatric Respiratory Medicine (PRM) is now recognised as a Paediatric Subspecialty in the Hong Kong College of Paediatricians, it has been registered in the Specialist Register in The Medical Council of Hong Kong since May 2016.   The PRM Subspecialty Board now invites application from trainees for enrolment in the Training Programme. Please kindly find enclosed files of Training Programme information together with Training Application Form for your attention. Information is also available at the College website: www.paediatrician.org.hk   Please be reminded that the start of training programme will commence any time after 2 July 2019. The deadline for enrollment of the PRM Training Programme will be on 10 May 2019. MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (AKP) (previously Part II) Examination, 9 May 2019 (Thursday)

Dear Associates Please be informed that the next MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (AKP) Examination will be held on 9 May 2019. Candidates wishing to sit the above exam in HK must apply both online using the RCPCH website ( https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/user ) AND submit paper applications to our College. Please study carefully the details of application as outlined in the attached circular. Application period20 February 2019 (Wed) – 6 March 2019 (Wed) Examination FeeHK$8,800 Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. Attached please find an Application Form C for your use. Remarks:1. All theory exams have been moved to computer-based testing since January 2015. Please refer to the RCPCH website for more CBT information: https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/resources/theory-exams-mrcpch-dch-how-apply 2. Sample examination questions are available on the RCPCH website for candidates viewing. Candidates sitting for CBT exams are strongly advised to study these sample questions at this link ( https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/resources/theory-exam-sample-papers ) 3. Candidates can sit the MRCPCH theory exams in any order, and can take the Applied Knowledge in Practice Exam as their first MRCPCH theory exam. 4. Hong Kong College of Paediatricians Invitation from the Committee for Subspecialty Boards (CSB) To: Chiefs of Service Paediatric Departments of the Training Institutions   Dear Colleagues,   Following the establishment of six Paediatric Subspecialties, the Committee for Subspecialty Boards (CSB) would like to conduct a review of the subspecialty accreditation process in order to assess the impact on general paediatric services as well as subspecialty services and development. We aim to identify areas for improvement and ensure that the future subspecialty development is robust and sustainable.
