MRCPCH Foundation of Practice, Theory & Science Examination (formerly Part I), 9 October 2018 (Tuesday)

Dear Associates, Please be informed that the next MRCPCH Foundation of Practice, Theory & Science Examination will be held on 9 October 2018. Candidates wishing to sit this exam in HK must apply both online using the RCPCH website ( https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/user ) AND submit paper applications to our College. Please study carefully the details of application as outlined in the attached circular. Application period23 July 2018 (Mon) – 8 August 2018 (Wed) Examination FeeFOP & TAS (both papers) HK$7,600FOP only (single paper) HK$4,700TAS only (single paper) HK$4,700 Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. Please note that the HK exam centre has a fixed number of seats, and can no longer accept candidates once the maximum capacity is reached. We accept applications from both local and overseas candidates on a first-come, first-served basis. You are strongly advised to submit your online application ASAP. Those candidates who have never taken an exam with the RCPCH and/or do not have an RCPCH number are advised to first register with the RCPCH well before the application period. A RCPCH number is needed in order to access the online application forms for exams. Joint Annual Research & Scientific Meeting 2018

Dear Fellows, Members and Associates of the College, Joint Annual Research & Scientific Meeting 2018 of The Hong Kong Paediatric Society, Hong Kong College of Paediatricians, Hong Kong Paediatric Nurses Association Ltd., & Hong Kong College of Paediatric Nursing Ltd.   Please be informed that the Annual Research & Scientific Meeting 2018 of our College this year is Jointly organized with The Hong Kong Paediatric Society, Hong Kong Paediatric Nurses Association and Hong Kong College of Paediatric Nursing, on 28th July 2018 at Postgraduate Education Centre, Prince of Wales Hospital. It will be a full-day event consisting of a keynote lecture and free paper presentation sessions. The free paper session will include poster and oral presentations which will be divided into clinical/hospital-based paediatrics/basic science and child health/community-based paediatrics sessions. Dear Associates Please be informed that the next MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (AKP) Examination will be held on 13 September 2018. Candidates wishing to sit the above exam in HK must apply both online using the RCPCH website ( https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/user) AND submit paper applications to our College. Attached please find an Application Form C for your use. Remarks:1. All theory exams have been moved to computer-based testing since January 2015. Sample examination questions are available on the RCPCH website for candidates viewing. Dear Associates Attached please find a circular detailing the application procedures for the above exam. Application period is from 15 June 2018 to 13 July 2018. Relevant application forms and documents can be downloaded from the College website.  * Please note that a Candidate Declaration Form will need to be completed and submitted with Application Form D. Examination FeeHK$16,600 Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. Please note that candidates have a period of 7 years to complete the Clinical Examination from the date he/she passed all of the theory examinations. There is no limit to the number of attempts. If candidates are not able to pass the Clinical Examination within the seven years, he/she has to re-sit the Applied Knowledge in Practice Examination in order to take the Clinical Examination again. Dear Associates/Members/Fellows of the Hong Kong College of Paediatricians, Re: Subspecialty of Genetics & Genomics (Paediatrics) [GGP] – Invitation for enrollment of Training Programme (commencing from 1st July 2018) The Subspecialty of Genetics & Genomics (Paediatrics) [GGP] is now recognised as a Paediatric Subspecialty in the Hong Kong College of Paediatricians, it has been registered in the Specialist Register in The Medical Council of Hong Kong since 1 November 2017.  We are now calling for application enrollment of GGP trainees for Year 2018, please kindly find enclosed files of Training Programme and Application Form for your attention.
