MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (Part II) Examination, 17 May 2023 (Wednesday)

Dear Associates MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (previously Part II) Examination, 17 May (Wednesday) Please be informed that the next MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (AKP) Exam will be held in HK on 17 May 2023.  Candidates wishing to sit the above exam in HK please apply both online using the RCPCH website (https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/user) AND submit paper applications to our College.   Please study carefully the details of application as outlined in the attached circular. Application period 6 March 2023 (Mon) - 20 March 2023 (MON)   Examination Fee HK$8,800 Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. Attached please find an Application Form C for your use.    Options for sitting this exam At your own home or workplace with online invigilation (pls refer to online invigilation quick guide attached) Note: Please note that there will NOT be any test centre option for this diet of exam. If you encounter difficulty in taking the exam in online invigilation format, please consider taking the same exam in Sep 2023 which the test centre option is expected to open at that time.   Remarks: 1. All theory exams have been moved to computer-based testing since January 2015. Please refer to the RCPCH website for more CBT information: https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/resources/theory-exams-mrcpch-dch-how-apply 2. Sample examination questions are available on the RCPCH website for candidates viewing.  Candidates sitting for CBT exams are strongly advised to study these sample questions at this link (https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/resources/theory-exam-sample-papers). 3. Candidates can sit the MRCPCH theory exams in any order, and are allowed to take the Applied Knowledge in Practice Exam as their first MRCPCH theory exam. 4. Those candidates who have never taken an exam with the RCPCH and/or do not have an RCPCH number are advised to first register for an exam account with the RCPCH any time before the application period (preferably 10 working days before the application period opens).  You do not need to wait until a specific examination opens to apply for an RCPCH online account.  You are not able to apply for any exams online until your registration for an exam account is accepted. 5. MRCPCH Foundation of Practice, Theory & Science Examination (formerly Part I), 15 February 2023 (Wednesday)

Dear Associates, Please be informed that the next MRCPCH Foundation of Practice, Theory & Science (FOP TAS) Examination will be held on 15 February 2023  (Wednesday). Candidates wishing to sit this exam in HK must apply both online using the RCPCH website ( https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/user ) AND submit paper applications to our College. Please study carefully the details of application as outlined in the attached circular. Please also find an Application Form B for your use. Online Application period7 December 2022 (Wed) - 19th December 2022 (Mon) Options for sitting this exam1. At a test centre in person, or2. At your own home or workplace with online invigilation (online invigilation guide) Note: If there is not enough enrollment of test centre option, RCPCH reserves the right to cancel test centre option and transfer candidates to online invigilation option.   Examination FeeFOP & TAS (both papers) HK$7,600FOP only (single paper) HK$4,700TAS only (single paper) HK$4,700 Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. You are strongly advised to submit your online application promptly. MRCPCH Clinical Examination, 21-22 February 2023 (Tuesday to Wednesday)

Dear Associates Attached please find a circular detailing the application procedures for the above exam. Application period starts from 15 November 2022 (Tuesday) to 5 December 2022 (Monday). Please fill in relevant application forms and submit to College Secretariat with cheque before the deadline.  * Please note that a candidate declaration form will need to be completed and submitted with Application Form D. Examination Fee HK$16,600 Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. Please note that candidates have a period of 7 years to complete the Clinical Examination from the date he/she passed all of the theory examinations. There is no limit to the number of attempts.  If candidates are not able to pass the Clinical Examination within the seven years, he/she has to re-sit the Applied Knowledge in Practice Examination in order to take the Clinical Examination again. It has been registered in the Specialist Register in The Medical Council of Hong Kong since February 2019. The PE Subspecialty Board now invites application from trainees for enrollment in the Training Programme. Please kindly find enclosed file of training application form. The position of Chief Editor of the Hong Kong Journal of Paediatrics is now open for application for the three-year term starting on 1 Feb 2023. It has been registered in the Specialist Register of The Medical Council of Hong Kong in 2022 with the specialty code of S65. We are now calling for enrolment of PHO trainees for the programme commencing in year 2023.
