Dear Associates MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (previously Part II) Examination, 18 Jan 2023 (Wednesday) Please be informed that the next MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (AKP) Exam will be held in HK on 18th Jan 2023.  Candidates wishing to sit the above exam in HK please apply both online using the RCPCH website (https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/user) AND submit paper applications to our College.   Please study carefully the details of application as outlined in the attached circular.   Application period 7 November 2022 (Mon) – 21 November 2022 (Mon)    Examination Fee HK$8,800 Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. Attached please find an Application Form C for your use.    Options for sitting this exam At your own home or workplace with online invigilation (pls refer to online invigilation quick guide attached) Note: Please note that there will NOT be any test centre option for this diet of exam. If you encounter difficulty in taking the exam in online invigilation format, please consider taking the same exam in Sep 2023 which the test centre option is expected to open at that time.   Remarks: 1. All theory exams have been moved to computer-based testing since January 2015. Please refer to the RCPCH website for more CBT information: https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/resources/theory-exams-mrcpch-dch-how-apply 2. Sample examination questions are available on the RCPCH website for candidates viewing.  Candidates sitting for CBT exams are strongly advised to study these sample questions at this link (https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/resources/theory-exam-sample-papers). 3. Candidates can sit the MRCPCH theory exams in any order, and are allowed to take the Applied Knowledge in Practice Exam as their first MRCPCH theory exam. 4. Those candidates who have never taken an exam with the RCPCH and/or do not have an RCPCH number are advised to first register for an exam account with the RCPCH any time before the application period (preferably 10 working days before the application period opens).  You do not need to wait until a specific examination opens to apply for an RCPCH online account.  You are not able to apply for any exams online until your registration for an exam account is accepted. 5. Subspecialty of Developmental-Behavioural Paediatrics - Invitation for enrollment of Training Programme (commencing from 3rd January 2023)

Dear Members and Fellows of the Hong Kong College of Paediatricians,   Developmental-Behavioural Paediatrics (DBP) is now recognized as a Paediatric Subspecialty in the Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. It has been registered in the Specialist Register of The Medical Council of Hong Kong since 3 July 2013. We are now calling for application enrollment of DBP trainees for Year 2023. Please kindly find enclosed files of Training Programme, Application Information and Training Application Form for your attention. 49th Exit Assessment, 15 December 2022 (Thursday)

Dear Members, The next Exit Assessment of the College will be held on 15 December 2022 (Thursday). Attached please find an announcement, application form, FORM A and FORM B for your information. Members wishing to sit this Exit Assessment can send your completed applications to the College from 1 September 2022 (Thursday) onwards until 29 September 2022 (Thursday). Please be reminded to include FORM A (Record of Higher Training in Paediatrics) and FORM B (Checklist for Dissertations) in your submission. Both hard and soft copies of your dissertations should also be submitted. 1.For all trainees who started their basic paediatric training on or after 1 July 2009, a proof of completion of a formal Child Protection Course within their 6-year Paediatric Training Programme should be submitted along with the application. 2.For all trainees who started their higher paeditric training on or after 1st July 2020, a proof of completion of a formal Paediatric Palliative Care Course within their 6-year Paediatric Training Programme should be submitted along with the application. 3.Dissertations submitted for this Exit Assessment will be considered for the 2023 Best Dissertation Prize awarded by the College. Joint Annual Scientific Meeting 2022 (hybrid meeting)

**Deadline of Abstract Submission Extended to 14th Sep 2022**   Dear all College members,     Joint Annual Scientific Meeting 2022 (Hybrid Meeting) of The Hong Kong Paediatric Society (HKPS), Hong Kong College of Paediatricians (HKCPaed), Hong Kong Paediatric Nurses Association (HKPNA), & Hong Kong College of Paediatric Nursing (HKCPN)   The Hong Kong Paediatric Society, Hong Kong College of Paediatricians, Hong Kong Paediatric Nurses Association and Hong Kong College of Paediatric Nursing will be hosting a Joint Annual Scientific Meeting (JASM) on 26th November 2022.   This offers a unique platform for various disciplines to share their insights in child health related issues and scientific updates. Your participation would be of utmost importance. Members, doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and other child healthcare workers are cordially invited to submit papers to make this meeting successful.
