Dear Associates MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (previously Part II) Examination, 18 May 2022 (Wednesday) Please be informed that the next MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (AKP) Exam will be held in HK on 18th May 2022. Candidates wishing to sit the above exam in HK please apply both online using the RCPCH website (https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/user) AND submit paper applications to our College. Please study carefully the details of application as outlined in the attached circular. Application period 10 Mar 2022 (Thu) – 21 Mar 2022 (Mon) Examination Fee HK$8,800 Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. Attached please find an Application Form C for your use. Options for sitting this exam At your own home or workplace with online invigilation (pls refer to online invigilation quick guide attached) Note: Please note that due to the current development of COVID-19 epidemic, there will NOT be any test centre option for this diet of exam. If you encounter difficulty in taking the exam in online invigilation format, please liaise with HKCPaed College Secretary. Remarks: 1. All theory exams have been moved to computer-based testing since January 2015. Please refer to the RCPCH website for more CBT information: https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/resources/theory-exams-mrcpch-dch-how-apply 2. Sample examination questions are available on the RCPCH website for candidates viewing. Candidates sitting for CBT exams are strongly advised to study these sample questions at this link (https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/resources/theory-exam-sample-papers). 3. Candidates can sit the MRCPCH theory exams in any order, and are allowed to take the Applied Knowledge in Practice Exam as their first MRCPCH theory exam. 4. Those candidates who have never taken an exam with the RCPCH and/or do not have an RCPCH number are advised to first register for an exam account with the RCPCH well any time before the application period (preferably 10 working days before the application period opens). You do not need to wait until a specific examination opens to apply for an RCPCH online account. You are not able to apply for any exams online until your registration for an exam account is accepted. 5. Dear Associates Attached please find a circular detailing the application procedures for the above exam. Application period starts from 28 December 2021 (Tuesday) to 11 January 2022 (Tuesday). Relevant application forms and documents can be downloaded from the College website. * Please note that a candidate declaration form will need to be completed and submitted with Application Form D. Examination Fee HK$16,600 Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. Please note that candidates have a period of 7 years to complete the Clinical Examination from the date he/she passed all of the theory examinations. There is no limit to the number of attempts. If candidates are not able to pass the Clinical Examination within the seven years, he/she has to re-sit the Applied Knowledge in Practice Examination in order to take the Clinical Examination again. Dear Associates, Please be informed that the next MRCPCH Foundation of Practice, Theory & Science (FOP TAS) Examination will be held on 16 February 2022 (Wednesday). Candidates wishing to sit this exam in HK must apply both online using the RCPCH website ( https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/user ) AND submit paper applications to our College. Please study carefully the details of application as outlined in the attached circular. Online Application period1 December 2021 (Wed) – 13 December 2021 (Mon) Options for sitting this exam1. At a test centre in person, or2. At your own home or workplace with online invigilation (online invigilation guide) Examination FeeFOP & TAS (both papers) HK$7,600FOP only (single paper) HK$4,700TAS only (single paper) HK$4,700 Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. You are strongly advised to submit your online application promptly. Those candidates who have never taken an exam with the RCPCH and/or do not have an RCPCH number are advised to first register with the RCPCH well before the application period. A RCPCH number is needed in order to access the online application forms for exams. There will be TWO FOP TAS exams held in HK each year, one in February, and another one in October. Special Note: For candidates who have applied for the cancelled FOP TAS examination (test-centre option) originally held on 13 Oct 2021 (Wed), and who have NOT file a refund application, DO NOT RE-APPLY for this examination. Your seat will automatically be transferred to this diet. You CANNOT change from test centre option to online invigilation option.
