CME Online (Aug 2022) - 40th blast email Dear Colleagues, I am sending you the e-blast notification of the Category A CME activities of the month of August. If the 2020 – 2022 cycle is not your first CME cycle, you are kindly reminded that you should fulfil the CME requirement before 31 December 2022. If you have less than 60 CME points by the end of this year, the non-compliance to CME/CPD requirement will not be remediable. If the 2020 – 2022 cycle is your first CME cycle, you are required to obtain CME points pro-rata to a three-year cycle according to your CME start date. Please note the minimum requirement of individual CME category is waived if the first cycle is shorter than 3 years, so you can obtain CME points from ANY category. When you utilize ZOOM or other teleconference software, please remember to sign in with your full name and your College Fellowship Number so that the organizer can capture your attendance. For CME activities that last more than one hour, you are required to capture your attendance twice to be granted the full amount of CME points, or else only one CME point will be registered. Dear Associates MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (previously Part II) Examination, 21 Sep 2022 (Wednesday) Please be informed that the next MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (AKP) Exam will be held in HK on 21st Sep 2022.  Candidates wishing to sit the above exam in HK please apply both online using the RCPCH website (https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/user) AND submit paper applications to our College.   Please study carefully the details of application as outlined in the attached circular. Application period 4 July 2022 (Mon) – 18 July 2022 (Mon)  Examination Fee HK$8,800 Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. Attached please find an Application Form C for your use.  Options for sitting this exam At a test centre in person; OR At your own home or workplace with online invigilation (pls refer to online invigilation quick guide attached) Note: If there is not enough enrollment of test centre option, RCPCH reserves the right to cancel test centre option and transfer candidates to online invigilation option. Remarks: 1. All theory exams have been moved to computer-based testing since January 2015. Please refer to the RCPCH website for more CBT information: https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/resources/theory-exams-mrcpch-dch-how-apply 2. Dear Associates Attached please find a circular detailing the application procedures for the above exam. Application period starts from 23 June 2022 (Thursday) to 6 July 2022 (Wednesday). Relevant application forms and documents can be downloaded from the College website. * Please note that a candidate declaration form will need to be completed and submitted with Application Form D. Examination Fee HK$16,600 Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. Please note that candidates have a period of 7 years to complete the Clinical Examination from the date he/she passed all of the theory examinations. There is no limit to the number of attempts.  If candidates are not able to pass the Clinical Examination within the seven years, he/she has to re-sit the Applied Knowledge in Practice Examination in order to take the Clinical Examination again. Subspecialty of Paediatric Neurology (PN) - Invitation for enrollment of Training Programme (commencing from 2nd July 2022) Dear Fellows and Members of the Hong Kong College of Paediatricians, Re: Subspecialty of Paediatric Neurology (PN) – Invitation for Enrollment of Training Programme (commencing from 2nd July 2022)   The Paediatric Neurology (PN) is now recognized as a Paediatric Subspecialty in the Hong Kong College of Paediatricians, it has been registered in the Specialist Register in The Medical Council of Hong Kong since September 2013. We are now calling for application enrollment of PN trainees for Year 2022. Please kindly find enclosed files of Training Programme Information and Application Form for your kind attention. Information is also available at the College website: www.paediatrician.org.hk   Please be reminded that the training programme will commence from 2nd July 2022. The deadline for enrollment of the PN Training Programme will be on 27 May 2022 (Friday), 5:00 pm.
