MRCPCH Foundation of Practice, Theory & Science Examination (formerly Part I), 15 June 2022 (Wednesday)

Dear Associates, Please be informed that the next MRCPCH Foundation of Practice, Theory & Science (FOP TAS) Examination will be held on 15 June 2022 (Wednesday). Candidates wishing to sit this exam in HK must apply both online using the RCPCH website ( https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/user ) AND submit paper applications to our College. Please study carefully the details of application as outlined in the attached circular. Please also find an Application Form B for your use. Online Application period6 April 2022 (Wed) – 18 April 2022 (Mon) Options for sitting this exam1. At a test centre in person, or2. At your own home or workplace with online invigilation (online invigilation guide) Examination FeeFOP & TAS (both papers) HK$7,600FOP only (single paper) HK$4,700TAS only (single paper) HK$4,700 Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. You are strongly advised to submit your online application promptly. Those candidates who have never taken an exam with the RCPCH and/or do not have an RCPCH number are advised to first register with the RCPCH well before the application period. You do not need to wait until a specific examination opens to apply for an RCPCH online account. A RCPCH number is needed in order to access the online application forms for exams. There will normally be TWO FOP TAS exams held in HK each year, one in February, and another one in October. This June diet is organized exceptionally to cater the back log of the previous cancelled exams.  Special Note: For candidates who have applied for the cancelled FOP TAS examination originally held on 13 Oct 2021 (Wed) and 16 Feb 2022 (Wed) respectively, and who have NOT file a refund application, YOU DO NOT NEED TO RE-APPLY for this examination. 48th Exit Assessment, 16 June 2022 (Thursday)

Dear Members, The next Exit Assessment of the College will be held on 16 June 2022 (Thursday). Attached please find an announcement, application form, FORM A and FORM B for your information. Members wishing to sit this Exit Assessment can send your completed applications to the College from 25 March 2022 (Friday) onwards until 26 April 2022 (Tuesday). Please be reminded to include FORM A (Record of Higher Training in Paediatrics) and FORM B (Checklist for Dissertations) in your submission. Both hard and soft copies of your dissertations should also be submitted. 1.For all trainees who started their basic paediatric training on or after 1 July 2009, a proof of completion of a formal Child Protection Course within their 6-year Paediatric Training Programme should be submitted along with the application. 2.For all trainees who started their higher paeditric training on or after 1st July 2020, a proof of completion of a formal Paediatric Palliative Care Course within their 6-year Paediatric Training Programme should be submitted along with the application. 3.Dissertations submitted for this Exit Assessment will be considered for the 2022 Best Dissertation Prize awarded by the College. Dear Associates MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (previously Part II) Examination, 18 May 2022 (Wednesday) Please be informed that the next MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (AKP) Exam will be held in HK on 18th May 2022.  Candidates wishing to sit the above exam in HK please apply both online using the RCPCH website (https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/user) AND submit paper applications to our College.   Please study carefully the details of application as outlined in the attached circular. Application period 10 Mar 2022 (Thu) – 21 Mar 2022 (Mon)  Examination Fee HK$8,800 Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. Attached please find an Application Form C for your use.  Options for sitting this exam At your own home or workplace with online invigilation (pls refer to online invigilation quick guide attached) Note: Please note that due to the current development of COVID-19 epidemic, there will NOT be any test centre option for this diet of exam. If you encounter difficulty in taking the exam in online invigilation format, please liaise with HKCPaed College Secretary.   Remarks: 1. All theory exams have been moved to computer-based testing since January 2015. Candidates can sit the MRCPCH theory exams in any order, and are allowed to take the Applied Knowledge in Practice Exam as their first MRCPCH theory exam. 4. Those candidates who have never taken an exam with the RCPCH and/or do not have an RCPCH number are advised to first register for an exam account with the RCPCH well any time before the application period (preferably 10 working days before the application period opens).  You do not need to wait until a specific examination opens to apply for an RCPCH online account.  You are not able to apply for any exams online until your registration for an exam account is accepted. 5. MRCPCH Clinical Examination, 28 February - 2 March 2022 (Monday to Wednesday)

Dear Associates Attached please find a circular detailing the application procedures for the above exam. Application period starts from 28 December 2021 (Tuesday) to 11 January 2022 (Tuesday). Relevant application forms and documents can be downloaded from the College website. * Please note that a candidate declaration form will need to be completed and submitted with Application Form D. Examination Fee HK$16,600 Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. Please note that candidates have a period of 7 years to complete the Clinical Examination from the date he/she passed all of the theory examinations. There is no limit to the number of attempts.  If candidates are not able to pass the Clinical Examination within the seven years, he/she has to re-sit the Applied Knowledge in Practice Examination in order to take the Clinical Examination again.
