Subspecialty of Paediatric Endocrinology (PE) - Call for Exit Assessment Application

Dear Trainees of Subspecialty in Paediatric Endocrinology (PE),

The PE Subspecialty is now calling for Application for Exit Assessment which will be held on 27 November 2023 (Monday).  PE Subspecialty Trainees who are eligible and would like to sit for the Exit Assessment, please submit the application form, the required documents and the dissertations to  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Candidates who can complete their PE training within 12 weeks after the exit examination (i.e. 19 February 2024) are also eligible to apply.

Attached please find a circular detailing the application procedures for the above exam. Application period starts from 12 July 2023 (Wed) to 26 July 2023 (Wed). Please fill in relevant application forms and submit to College Secretariat with cheque before the deadline. 

* Please note that a candidate declaration form will need to be completed and submitted with Application Form D.

Examination Fee HK$16,600

Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians.

Please note that candidates have a period of 7 years to complete the Clinical Examination from the date he/she passed all of the theory examinations. There is no limit to the number of attempts.  If candidates are not able to pass the Clinical Examination within the seven years, he/she has to re-sit the Applied Knowledge in Practice Examination in order to take the Clinical Examination again.

MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (previously Part II) Examination, 20 September 2023 (Wednesday)

Please be informed that the next MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (AKP) Exam will be held in HK on 20 September 2023.  Candidates wishing to sit the above exam in HK please apply both online using the RCPCH website (https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/userAND submit paper applications to our College.  

Please study carefully the details of application as outlined in the attached circular.

5 July 2023 - 17 July 2023

 

Examination Fee

HK$8,800

Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians.

Remarks
:

1. All theory exams have been moved to computer-based testing since January 2015. Please refer to the RCPCH website for more CBT information: https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/resources/theory-exams-mrcpch-dch-how-apply

2. Sample examination questions are available on the RCPCH website for candidates viewing.  Candidates sitting for CBT exams are strongly advised to study these sample questions at this link (https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/resources/theory-exam-sample-papers).

3. Candidates can sit the MRCPCH theory exams in any order, and are allowed to take the Applied Knowledge in Practice Exam as their first MRCPCH theory exam.

4. Those candidates who have never taken an exam with the RCPCH and/or do not have an RCPCH number are advised to first register for an exam account with the RCPCH any time before the application period (preferably 10 working days before the application period opens).  You do not need to wait until a specific examination opens to apply for an RCPCH online account.  You are not able to apply for any exams online until your registration for an exam account is accepted.
