The PRM Subspecialty Board now invites application from trainees for enrolment in the Training Programme. Please kindly find enclosed files of Training Programme information together with Training Application Form for your attention. Information is also available at the College website: www.paediatrician.org.hk

Please be reminded that the start of training programme is tentatively scheduled for January 2021. The deadline for enrollment of the PRM Training Programme will be on 28 September 2020 (Monday).  Applicants will be invited for an interview after the deadline of enrollment.

Please be informed that the next MRCPCH Foundation of Practice, Theory & Science (FOP TAS) Examination will be held on 14 Ocboer 2020. Candidates wishing to sit this exam in HK must apply both online using the RCPCH website ( https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/user ) AND submit paper applications to our College. Please study carefully the details of application as outlined in the attached circular.

Online Application period
20 August 2020 (Thur) – 31 August 2020 (Mon)

Options for sitting this exam
1. At a test centre in person, or
2. At your own home or workplace with online invigilation (online invigilation guide)

Examination Fee
FOP & TAS (both papers) HK$7,600
FOP only (single paper) HK$4,700
TAS only (single paper) HK$4,700

Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians.

You are strongly advised to submit your online application promptly.

Those candidates who have never taken an exam with the RCPCH and/or do not have an RCPCH number are advised to first register with the RCPCH well before the application period. A RCPCH number is needed in order to access the online application forms for exams.

There will be TWO FOP TAS exams held in HK each year, one in February, and another one in October.

Special Note on Coronavirus Outbreak
In view of the ongoing pandemic in HK, there is the risk the examination may not be held on 14 October 2020 depending on the situation in the coming months. Your application will be confirmed online once payment is received by the HK College of Paediatricians; but your payment will not be cashed until mid-September 2020. Please check for the latest updates on the HK College website nearer the time.

Candidates wishing to sit the above exam in Hong Kong must apply both online using the RCPCH website ( https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/user  ) AND submit paper applications to our College. Please study carefully the details of application as outlined in the attached circular.

Remarks:
1. Sample examination questions are available on the RCPCH website for candidates viewing. Candidates sitting for CBT exams are strongly advised to study these sample questions at this link https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/resources/theory-exam-sample-papers 

2. Candidates can sit the MRCPCH theory exams in any order, and can take the Applied Knowledge in Practice Exam as their first MRCPCH theory exam.

3. Those candidates who have never taken an exam with the RCPCH and/or do not have an RCPCH number are advised to first register for an exam account with the RCPCH well before the application period. You are not able to apply for any examinations online until your registration for an exam account is accepted.
