MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (previously Part II) Examination, 18th September 2013 (Wednesday)

Please be informed that the next MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice Exam will be held in Hong Kong on 18th September 2013.  Candidates wishing to sit the above exam may send their completed applications to the College from 10th June 2013 until 5th July 2013. 

Attached please find a circular providing more details of the exam, and a NEW Application Form C for your use. 

Please note that payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians.

Note: Due to the recent change in examination rules, candidates are elibible to sit the MRCPCH written exams in any order, and permitted to take the Applied Knowledge in Practice Exam as their first MRCPCH written exam.

2013 Paediatric Update No. 2 - Paediatric Neurology – July 7, 2013

Please be informed that the next Paediatric Update CME seminar will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2013.  It is part of the programme for the accreditation of the Subspecialty of Paediatric Neurology (PN) of our College.  Professor Robert Ouvrier, a world renowned expert in neuromuscular diseases, Foundation Head of Institute for Neuroscience and Muscle Research, The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Australia will deliver lectures on "Hereditary Neuropathies in Childhood" and "Mechanisms to make new discoveries in Child Neurology".   The meeting will be held at M-Ground Lecture Theatre in Queen Elizabeth Hospital (NOT Hospital Authority Building). We look forward to your support and participation in this College CME activity. For programme details, please refer to the attached poster. 

Dear Associates/Members/Fellows of the Hong Kong College of Paediatricians, 

The Paediatric Immunology and Infectious Diseases (PIID) is now recognised as a Paediatric Subspecialty in the Hong Kong College of Paediatrician, it has been registered in the Specialist Register in The Medical Council of Hong Kong since 16 November 2012. 

We are now calling for application enrollment of PIID trainees for Year 2013 - 2014. Please kindly find enclosed Application Form together with information of PIID prospectus for your attention. 

Please be reminded that the starting of PIID Training Programme will be on 1 June 2013. 

If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact the undersigned or respective PIID Training Centre Coordinator listed at P.4 of the said prospectus.
