
Young Fellows Committee
The Young Fellows Committee (YFC) was appointed by the Council in 2015, with the role to coordinate new paediatric fellows in College activities, to connect and engage fellows, members and associates of the College.
Functions and roles
- To enhance paediatric care to the community through supporting and engaging different patient-support groups, educational institutions, or charitable organisations.
- To serve as a platform for launching YFC activities focused on involving and connecting young fellows of the specialty.
- To address the needs of paediatricians and trainees early in their career e.g. work-life balance, overseas conference scholarship for junior trainees, and mental well-being.
- To nurture future paediatric leaders through involvement in Council meetings, College committees and subcommittees, and participation in events organised by the College.
- To facilitate communication between young fellows, members and associates and the College Council.
- To provide an avenue for team-building and camaraderie amongst YFC members.
