54th Exit Assessment, 19 June 2025 (Thursday)

Dear Members,  The next Exit Assessment of the College will be held on 19 June 2025 (Thursday). Attached please find an announcement, application form, FORM A and FORM B for your information. Members wishing to sit this Exit Assessment can send your completed applications to the College from 24 March 2025 (Monday) onwards until 11 April 2025 (Friday). Please be reminded to include FORM A (Record of Higher Training in Paediatrics) and FORM B (Checklist for Dissertations) in your submission. Both hard and soft copies of your dissertations should also be submitted. 1.For all trainees who started their basic paediatric training on or after 1 July 2009, a proof of completion of a formal Child Protection Course within their 6-year Paediatric Training Programme should be submitted along with the application. 2.For all trainees who started their higher paeditric training on or after 1st July 2020, a proof of completion of a formal Paediatric Palliative Care Course within their 6-year Paediatric Training Programme should be submitted along with the application. 3.Dissertations submitted for this Exit Assessment will be considered for the 2025 Best Dissertation Prize awarded by the College. Dear Associates MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (Part II) Examination, 21 May 2025(Wednesday) Please be informed that the next MRCPCH Applied Knowledge in Practice (AKP) Exam will be held in HK on 21 May 2025.  Candidates wishing to sit the above exam in HK please apply both online using the RCPCH website (https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/user) AND submit paper applications to our College.   Please study carefully the details of application as outlined in the attached circular. Application period 12 March 2025 (Wed) - 17 March 2025 (Mon)   Examination Fee HK$8,800 Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. Attached please find an Application Form C for your use.    Options for sitting this exam Test Centre: the exact location is to be announced by RCPCH. Note: Please note that there will NOT be any online invigilation option for this diet of exam.    Remarks: 1. All theory exams have been moved to computer-based testing since January 2015. Those candidates who have never taken an exam with the RCPCH and/or do not have an RCPCH number are advised to first register for an exam account with the RCPCH any time before the application period (preferably 10 working days before the application period opens).  You do not need to wait until a specific examination opens to apply for an RCPCH online account.  You are not able to apply for any exams online until your registration for an exam account is accepted. 5. MRCPCH Clinical Examination, 25-26 February 2025 (Tuesday to Wednesday)

Dear Associates Attached please find a circular detailing the application procedures for the above exam. Application period starts from 25 November 2024 (Mon) to 6 December 2024 (Fri). Please fill in relevant application forms and submit to College Secretariat with cheque before the deadline.  * Please note that a candidate declaration form will need to be completed and submitted with Application Form D. Examination Fee HK$16,600 Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. **Please be kindly reminded the changing in eligibility criteria will start at 1 July 2024: Applicants for entry to the Clicical Examination must be holding posts and eligible to practice in Hong Kong and have completed a period of training at least two and a half years form the date of graduation given on their diploma of medical qualification. Within a five-year peroid befor the date of the Clinical Examination, not less than 18 months of College accredited training and 12 months of unselected emergency paediatric patients. Please note that candidates have a period of 7 years to complete the Clinical Examination from the date he/she passed all of the theory examinations. There is no limit to the number of attempts.  If candidates are not able to pass the Clinical Examination within the seven years, he/she has to re-sit the Applied Knowledge in Practice Examination in order to take the Clinical Examination again.
