Subspecialty of Developmental-Behavioural Paediatrics - Invitation for enrollment of Training Programme (commencing from 3rd January 2023)

Dear Members and Fellows of the Hong Kong College of Paediatricians,   Developmental-Behavioural Paediatrics (DBP) is now recognized as a Paediatric Subspecialty in the Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. It has been registered in the Specialist Register of The Medical Council of Hong Kong since 3 July 2013. We are now calling for application enrollment of DBP trainees for Year 2023. Please kindly find enclosed files of Training Programme, Application Information and Training Application Form for your attention. Information is also available at the College website: www.paediatrician.org.hk   Please be reminded that the training programme will commence from 3rd January 2023. The deadline for enrollment of the DBP Training Programme will be on 16 November 2022, (Wednesday), 5:00 pm. Subspecialty of Paediatric Endocrinology (PE) - Call for Exit Assessment Application Dear Trainees of Subspecialty in Paediatric Endocrinology (PE), The PE Subspecialty is now calling for Application for Exit Assessment which will be held on 22 November 2022 (Tuesday).  PE Subspecialty Trainees who are eligible and would like to sit for the Exit Assessment, please submit the application form, the required documents and the dissertations to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Candidates who can complete their PE training within 12 weeks after the exit examination (i.e. 14 February 2023) are also eligible to apply. 49th Exit Assessment, 15 December 2022 (Thursday)

Dear Members, The next Exit Assessment of the College will be held on 15 December 2022 (Thursday). Attached please find an announcement, application form, FORM A and FORM B for your information. Members wishing to sit this Exit Assessment can send your completed applications to the College from 1 September 2022 (Thursday) onwards until 29 September 2022 (Thursday). Please be reminded to include FORM A (Record of Higher Training in Paediatrics) and FORM B (Checklist for Dissertations) in your submission. Both hard and soft copies of your dissertations should also be submitted. 1.For all trainees who started their basic paediatric training on or after 1 July 2009, a proof of completion of a formal Child Protection Course within their 6-year Paediatric Training Programme should be submitted along with the application. 2.For all trainees who started their higher paeditric training on or after 1st July 2020, a proof of completion of a formal Paediatric Palliative Care Course within their 6-year Paediatric Training Programme should be submitted along with the application. 3.Dissertations submitted for this Exit Assessment will be considered for the 2023 Best Dissertation Prize awarded by the College. Joint Annual Scientific Meeting 2022 (hybrid meeting)

**Deadline of Abstract Submission Extended to 14th Sep 2022**   Dear all College members,     Joint Annual Scientific Meeting 2022 (Hybrid Meeting) of The Hong Kong Paediatric Society (HKPS), Hong Kong College of Paediatricians (HKCPaed), Hong Kong Paediatric Nurses Association (HKPNA), & Hong Kong College of Paediatric Nursing (HKCPN)   The Hong Kong Paediatric Society, Hong Kong College of Paediatricians, Hong Kong Paediatric Nurses Association and Hong Kong College of Paediatric Nursing will be hosting a Joint Annual Scientific Meeting (JASM) on 26th November 2022.   This offers a unique platform for various disciplines to share their insights in child health related issues and scientific updates. Your participation would be of utmost importance. Members, doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and other child healthcare workers are cordially invited to submit papers to make this meeting successful. MRCPCH Foundation of Practice, Theory & Science Examination (formerly Part I), 19 October 2022 (Wednesday)

Dear Associates, Please be informed that the next MRCPCH Foundation of Practice, Theory & Science (FOP TAS) Examination will be held on 19 October 2022 (Wednesday). Candidates wishing to sit this exam in HK must apply both online using the RCPCH website ( https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/user ) AND submit paper applications to our College. Please study carefully the details of application as outlined in the attached circular. Please also find an Application Form B for your use. Online Application period4 August 2022 (Thu) – 15 August 2022 (Mon) Options for sitting this exam1. At a test centre in person, or2. At your own home or workplace with online invigilation (online invigilation guide) Note: If there is not enough enrollment of test centre option, RCPCH reserves the right to cancel test centre option and transfer candidates to online invigilation option.   Examination FeeFOP & TAS (both papers) HK$7,600FOP only (single paper) HK$4,700TAS only (single paper) HK$4,700 Payment should be made payable to Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. You are strongly advised to submit your online application promptly. Those candidates who have never taken an exam with the RCPCH and/or do not have an RCPCH number are advised to first register with the RCPCH well before the application period. You do not need to wait until a specific examination opens to apply for an RCPCH online account. A RCPCH number is needed in order to access the online application forms for exams.
